SUMMARY:
We chose 310 Shake as our #1 meal replacement shake this year for a number of reasons, namely user satisfaction, superior ingredients and well-balanced nutrition.
310 Nutrition recently came out with enhanced shake formulas – now offering a selection of both plant-based and whey-based shakes – and they’re being labeled as some of the healthiest and best-tasting meal replacement shakes available. A quick search for user assessments online reveals that this shake is even richer, creamier and more flavorful than previous formulas and has gathered rave reviews from eager fans.
Even with the enhanced taste, the new plant-based shake is now sugar-free, with only natural sweeteners used. And just like with the previous formulas, there is no soy, fillers, sugars, artificial flavors or harmful chemicals included in any of the shakes – only natural ingredients.
The plant-based shakes also have no gluten or dairy, and none of the shakes contain soy.

SHAKE FLAVORS AND TASTE:
The new 310 shakes are made using advanced technologies that enhance the flavor and texture of each shake, giving them rich flavors and creamier consistencies. Unlike many other diet shakes on the market, there is no “protein shake aftertaste” or “greens taste” after drinking the shakes, making people feel like they are enjoying a delicious dessert rather than a diet shake.
The plant-based shake flavors currently come in Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Mocha, Salted Caramel and Vanilla Chai. And the whey-based shakes come in Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry and Salted Caramel.
Online reviewers expressed that they love the variety of shake flavors and how they can savor the shakes with just water or add a mix of other healthy ingredients and they taste amazing both ways!
Here are some real user reviews from the 310 Nutrition website about the taste of 310 Shakes…

“The vanilla flavor is nice even by itself, I have been trying to just mix with water to reduce calories and it tastes great just like that! Goes great with fruit as well, I shake it in a blender bottle and no clumps”
Best Taste Ever

“I’ve been using this product for only a few days now but I can already tell that it’s making me feel better. The taste is incredible and it keeps me full throughout the day! I look forward to my progress 🙂 Thanks 310!”
PERFORMANCE:
So based on all of the evidence and testimonials, we know that for most people, these shakes are incredibly pleasing to the palate, but now we also need to know how they perform. According to our research, they do their job very well.
310 Nutrition has an online Facebook Community with over 100,000 members and the page is filled with testimonial after testimonial of 310 Shakes changing people’s lives for the better by helping them drop pounds and become much healthier. In this community, people share stories, recipes and ideas and there are 310 Nutritionists available to answer questions. In general, it seems like the perfect jumping-off point for people just starting off on their weight loss journeys as well as a helpful tool for them to successfully reach their goals.
So what’s in the new 310 plant-based shakes?
The 310 plant-based shake formula features a proprietary Tri-Plex™ protein blend containing optimized ratios of plant-based proteins pea, brown rice and hemp. Studies show that all of these proteins are beneficial not only for overall health purposes but also for weight loss. (5, 6) While pea protein helps the user feel full and satisfied and assists in building muscle, brown rice protein helps with muscle recovery. Hemp protein, which is packed with fiber and heart-healthy omega-3s, helps boost metabolism for quicker weight loss.
Also included in the new formula is a dose of gut-healthy probiotics, a vitamin/mineral blend, and a greens blend containing powerful superfoods, all instrumental in supporting total body wellness.

WHAT MAKES 310 SHAKES STAND OUT FROM OTHER SHAKES WE REVIEWED?
To answer this question, let’s take a closer look at the label for the new 310 plant-based Vanilla Shake and break down the nutritional components, below.

Calories
The first thing to notice is the calorie amount, which is extremely low at 90 calories per shake serving… Wow! This low amount of calories is almost unheard of for a weight loss shake that contains all the nutrition that 310 Shake does.
When you are aiming to lose weight, you want your shake to contain as few calories as possible while still providing optimal nutrition – so you can keep your daily caloric amount low, and also have room to add other healthy ingredients into your shake for a well-balanced meal replacement.
Superior Protein
As discussed earlier, 310 Shake contains a special Tri-Plex blend of proven proteins in both their plant-based and whey-based shakes.
Getting enough protein in your diet each day is essential in order to receive all of the amino acids required to fuel your energy levels, help you build muscle, balance your mood, enhance concentration, control blood sugar levels and help you lose weight. (1)
The USDA states that adults at an average weight and activity level should get 56 grams of protein per day (for men) and 46 grams per day (for women). So for people who are trying to lose weight, they should get even more.
By using 310 Shakes twice per day (as recommended for weight loss) you’ll be starting off with 30g of protein already; and then when you add in a healthy, well-balanced dinner and a few healthy snacks throughout the day, you’ll be meeting your protein goal. (1)
Many meal replacement shakes do not contain enough protein to fuel your healthy lifestyle or support your weight loss processes, and this is an important aspect to consider with any shake.
Optimal Fiber
Many so called “weight loss shakes” also do not contain enough fiber, but fiber provides the bulk of “fullness” and satisfaction after drinking a shake. Fiber helps your internal systems run smoothly and enhances your digestive functions.
Fiber also helps clear toxins and waste out of your body through supporting optimal bowel health as well as helps to lower cholesterol and control blood sugar levels. (2)
The national fiber recommendations are 25 grams of fiber for adult women per day and 38 grams for adult men.(3) 310 Shake provides 5g of fiber per shake serving, which, when taken twice per day along with a clean, healthy meal and some healthy snacks, helps ensure you get the daily fiber requirements you need.
Superfood Greens Blend
A lot of meal replacement shakes may give you enough protein and fiber, but they don’t give you any “extras” that will help to support your overall vitality and keep you feeling your best.
But the 310 Shake contains a superfood greens blend that includes organic superfoods including kale, spinach, spirulina, maca root, cracked cell chlorella and more.
Superfoods help to boost your fiber intake even more, supply beneficial antioxidants as well as nutrients and enhance your energy.
Spinach, for example, contains ample iron and potassium (which helps reduce bloating), fiber and protein. And kale is very low in calories and contains fiber, protein and a great amount of iron and calcium.
Probiotics
The shake also contains gut-healthy probiotics, which are essential “good” bacteria that support your optimal digestion as well as your immune system.
If your “good” gut bacteria is running low than you may experience uncomfortable symptoms including digestive issues, weight gain, nausea, headaches and more. (4)
Many meal replacement shakes do not include this incredibly beneficial addition to their shakes, even though they help your body function at its best; but with 310 Shakes, you receive 1 billion CFU of probiotics per shake serving.
CONCLUSION:
At just $2.43 per serving (less on autoship), we think that 310 Shake by 310 Nutrition offers an incredible value for its many health and weight loss benefits. With all of the promising and proven features, as well as glowing user reviews and apparent consumer confidence, this is easily our #1 rated shake.

Is this for women only, or is it for men as well?
What is the sweetener in this product? I can not do any sugar, artificial, or otherwise.
So why is it when I go to the 310 site there is artificial flavour on ingredient list, ace k and sauce aloes and here it is not listed? Weird. Plus a 100 calorie shake is not a meal replacement. One review site said for meal replacement take 2 scoops. 11 grams of protein too low for meal as well as calories
Hi Ka,
Not sure where you are getting your information but 310 Shake does not contain artificial ingredients like ace k or anything else artificial. 2 scoops would equate to 30g of protein as well.
Hello, I am also looking for an alternative to Shakeology for the price point. What I do not see in the ingredients you listed are the veggies and fruits and probiotics? Does 310 have this? Maybe that is why this product is cheaper?
Thank you
Hi Cynthia,
310 Shake has many different options, ie., there vegan blend contains the greens you mention. Remember to focus on the core proteins vs so much the veggies and probiotics that are in the shake. The proteins will get you the results and (in our opinion) a lot of the other ingredients are just expensive noise.
I am Celiac does this shake contain gluten?
Do the 310 shakes have caffeine in thm?
no 310 Shake does not have caffeine.
LOVING my 310 shakes!! I look forward to my next shake creation and it really helped settle my ravenous appetite.
I love 310. I’ve been on it for 60 days now just replacing my lunch. The only thing I ever wonder is….. Is it ok to double the shake with 2 scoops and 24 oz of water per meal?
BEOFRE STATING THE 310 SHAKE , IS THE CLEANSE NEEDED?
I am lactose intolerant and whey protein has given my stomach fits in the past. Has anyone with this problem tried this product and had any luck using it?
Hello I’m also very lactose intolerant, I use 310 shakes daily, and have had zero stomach/bowel problems, I use it in rice milk. I absolutely love the products! 310 lover❤
Will i start seeing my lose weight results with in 7 days
I.lost 10lbs in my first week..replacing my breakfast and dinner with the shake..
Can I drink these shakes and eat nothing else. Maybe just a healthy snack in between shakes.
question…I’ve been using Isagenix for 1 year now and have lost approx. 40 lbs. I use the isalean and isapro mix to get at least 32 grams of protein per meal replacement. I’m looking for a high quality less exp. protein shake replacement and 310 meets the bill except for the amount of protein in ea. shake vs. Isagenix. If I go with 310, won’t the major decrease in protein (I know I’m also getting a major decrease in calories per shake as well which is good) hurt me weight wise? Help??
Hi Kimberly,
I know 310 Shakes goal is to keep calories down because it’s known as a top “mixing” shake. Meaning most folks like to make recipes that add calories. On the protein content you will find your Isalean offers all that protein because you are taking almost 70gr of powder per serving! OUCH way too much powder in a shake. If you compare serving size (apples/apples) you’ll find 310 Shake actually offers you MORE protein. We think you’ll be happy with 310.
I am thinking of buying 310 shake. I noticed that it has pea protein. Is this GMO free?
Yes the pea is GMO free.
I love the strawberry flavor. In the blender I add a banana, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries and almond milk. Delicious!!! My daughter likes me to add a few dark chocolate chips to Hershey.
Can you/should you combine these shakes with the 7 day cleanse, or start the shakes after the cleanse?
Try the cleanse first. In theory, it’s a good idea to clear everything out a bit before starting a new diet.
Hi, I have about 20 pounds to lose and I was wondering with the 310 shakes how long will it take?
Good question, Kaitlyn. It really depends on your diet outside of meal replacement shakes, as well as your lifestyle. If you aim to lose a pound a week, you’ll need to have a caloric deficit of 500 calories a day. It would take 5 months to lose 20 pounds.
Does this have an energy booster component? If so, what is it?
You would have to ask the manufacture regarding energy specific components.
I just received my 310 shake chocolate ….. Want to know the best way to mix? I don’t like bananas but like almond milk etc. thanks!!
Hi Candace, 310 Shake has a page for shake recipes – https://310nutrition.com/recipe/
What’s the best way to mix it up? I did it with milk and it’s so chalky I can’t stand to drink it, but the test didn’t seem to be bad. Just need a way to fix the chalky taste!
Hi Bryanna, have you tried mixing the shake with some fruit or yogurt (or both)? Check out 310 Shake’s recipe page for ideas – https://310nutrition.com/recipe/
I mix mine with unsweetened almond milk and it taste great, no chalky taste at all.
I just purchased 310 nutrition shake in vanilla flavor and started it this morning. I plan on replacing breakfast and lunch then having a sensible dinner. I was just wondering if you can have snacks in between the shakes and if so what are the best snacks to have
Hi Suzy, great question. If you feel hungry between shakes, we recommend that you do snack in order to avoid binging when you eat dinner later. We hope that 310 Shake works out for you! Here’s an article about what sort of snacks to make https://310nutrition.com/healthy-snax-for-every-day-of-the-month/
I am very interested in trying 310! I have a little less than a year until my wedding and have 20-30 pounds left to lose. I am wanting to know how the vanilla shake is? I have tried so many proteins and am afraid it will be too chalky
Hi Katherine. The extent of chalkiness is very personable. Pea protein is sometimes chalky by nature where as whey is not usually.
Kathrine, I liked the Vanilla. I did not find it chalky at all. Vanilla is great because it is a very neutral flavor that you can add most anything. 310 has great recipes that you can try. You can add some dry coco to it to make it a chocolate flavor. I have also used Shakeology…I prefer the 310 Shake. Better in taste, sugars, carbs, sodium, calories and the $$$$. Vanilla you can not go wrong.
If you mix it up in a blender or a nutrabullet you will never have the chalky taste
Every protein shake or meal replacement shake that I’ve tried has made me sick with an upset stomach. The only shake I’ve been able to tolerate is a lactose-free whey protein powder from a natural food store but it tastes horrible. Is there anyone in here that had this same issue and was able to tolerate 310 shakes? I really want to try them but I don’t want to waste money and mess with a return & refund if I won’t be able to drink them. Does anyone know what causes this….is it the soy or the whey or something else?! Thanks 🙂
They have a “Try it before you buy it” http://www.try310shake.com. Hope it works out for you.
I am so confused by all these products. I’m using a soy protein product that claimed to be the best and now I’m reading that soy is not the best health option. Would you share your recipe for the kale smoothie- I’ve been looking for one that’s pleasant?
Hi Lynda! Soy used to be a popular and seemingly healthy alternative to dairy. It’s become controversial for its potential health side effects. We prefer to err on the side of caution and avoid controversial products. As for a great kale smoothie recipe, we think that 310 Nutrition’s “Kale Me Crazy” is great. https://310nutrition.com/recipe/
I have been on Shakeology for about two months. I really liked the chocolate mixed with ice and almond milk in the blender. I could turn it upside down it was so thick!
I read reviews of shakes before pulling the trigger for another bag. The reviews were so much better for 310 than for Shakeology. I just got 310 yesterday and tried it today mixed with ice and almond milk. I thought it had basically no taste and it was very thin. I was super disappointed since it was 88.00, not much less than Shakeology. Of course I will try it for awhile, but am I doing something wrong? I used ice cubes and only 8 oz. milk in the blender. It was super thin and bland.
Hi Suzy, with any shake like 310 Nutrition we recommend using recipes. There are some great recipe examples on their website. https://310nutrition.com/recipe/
does the skake have vit k if so how much
310 Shake does not contain any significant traces of Vitamin K.
I’m currently breastfeeding. Is this shake safe for me?
I went with the ingredient list to my lactation consultant, pharmacist, and pediatrician (I wanted multiple opinions) . They all cleared it for me and my baby. Pharmacist said it was mainly vitamins and minerals. I was looking into shakeology (suggested by a friend), but they all were concerned about the many different herbs ect in that, not to mention the price.
Glad to hear that using this shake worked out for you, Crystal! It’s great that you checked with various specialists to ensure that 310 Shake was healthy and safe for you and your baby.
Because we aren’t qualified health professionals, we recommend that anyone looking into using meal replacement shakes check with their doctor before buying or consuming the shakes.
Question – not a review. Just wondering if the weight loss is due to increased BM “output”?? More interested in appetite suppression that gastrointestinal problems. Thanks!
I heard the shake changed its formula in 2013/14, and it does not taste as good and added Soy. is this true?
I love this product. I mix with Almond Milk to cut the calories. One shake in the morning, senseable lunch and a shake for dinner. Snacks are fresh veggies & beverages throughout the day is either lemon or lime water. Exercise consist of 2-4 miles of waking, free weights for my arms (10 lbs) for 15 minutes a day, stomach crunches and wear a waist training belt at night which I purchased at Walmart for $16. I’ve lost 33.5 lbs in two months. You have to be committed but it works. I’m full after the shakes and have the energy to work out and go about my day. Is this sustainable, not certain but it is working now and I’m feeling better as a whole.
Is this product gluten free?
310 Shake is gluten free.
Thanks for your feedback Mona. It’s great that you’re so dedicated to this journey and that you’ve been successful.
I am currently using shakeology daily as part of my healthy lifestyle. I am looking for something similar to it that isn’t as pricey. This product seems to hit a lot of the criteria i am looking at. Do they have favors other than vanilla? Also i have been doing shakeology for 3 months now, how bad is it to switch?
I’ve used both shakeology and 310, and so far, I love 310 shakes so much more! I have tried their chocolate and strawberry shakes, both of which are great! The shakeology shakes were so gross to me, not to mention incredibly expensive.
How/where did you purchase a sample?
Hi Kat, you can order a sample for 310 Shake at https://www.try310shake.com/
I went to place my sample order and I see the price is 128.00 per month how is this cheaper than shakeology? I was considering a switch because although I like shakeology it is a bit out of my budget.
hi i seen you have used shakology would you say the 310 is better
They have Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate…
Hi Misty, 310 Shake also offers chocolate and strawberry flavors. All are great when blended with your favorite fruits! We recommend talking to your doctor before switching products or making any big changes in your diet.
